Victoria waterfront hotels are some of the best waterfront hotels in all of Canada. Victoria is perfect for a romantic getaway. 

Best things to do in Victoria: The Inner Harbour is one of the most romantic waterfront stroll areas in Victoria and is also filled with history. If you love gardens, Butchart Gardens (25 minute drive from Victoria city centre) is a must see. Beacon Hill Park is also very lovely. Visiting and enjoying lunch or High Tea at the Empress hotel is always a delight. The Craigdarroch Castle is also a beautiful 25,000 sq. ft. historic building you may want to visit. If children are with you, they may enjoy Miniature World.  

Safety in Victoria:  Victoria is a very safe city with friendly people. It is one of the safest major cities in Canada. However it is always best to take normal safety precautions and always check with your concierge in your reputable hotel as to which areas to avoid. 

Transportation in Victoria: Victoria is a lovely city to visit by foot. You'll find many tourist attractions such as The Inner Harbour and  city centre close together making it great for those weekend getaways. You'll be able to enjoy horse drawn carriages, double decker buses regular metro buses and the Victoria Harbour Ferry. Getting there from the mainland is also easy by ferry, or floatplane at Harbour Air in Stanley Park making it a super destination from Vancouver!

Best time to visit: The very best time to visit Victoria is July and August. However... September and October can also be excellent. We love mid to late September as it is a slower time of year with tourists making it easier and more relaxing! For the very best vacations... Always check yearly weather data. Victoria annual weather averages are similar to Vancouver.

Abigail's Hotel is a 17 minute walk (three blocks) to the waterfront. However, through our research we felt that since it is such a highly rated and charming hotel that it certainly deserved to be featured. Abigail's is an adult-only,  30-room boutique hotel that is housed in a very romantic 1930's Tudor mansion. Of course it has been well updated and features all the modern conveniences that the leisure traveler is seeking. Rated as a T/A Best of the Best 2023 award recipient you will certainly be pleased!
