Relax at Second Beach

Second Beach and Second Beach Public swimming pool are beautifully located in Stanley Park. You will find everything you need including a concession stand and playground area for the kids to have a perfect, fun filled, family day here!

Second Beach itself is fairly small but can usually accommodate the swimming enthusiasts. The sand is golden brown and when the tide is out it gives more space to enjoy the castle building children and their proud parents. If you have tender feet you may want to bring beach shoes to walk in the water with. The sunsets and view of English Bay are fabulous and can make for a romantic evening. A nice sunset walk back to English Bay Beach or First Beach is always a nice way to end the evening!

If you would like a full meal other than the concession stand you will need to either go towards Third Beach to The Teahouse in Stanley Park or back to English Bay Beach. The Teahouse Restaurant is a lovely restaurant with a superb patio. The formal dining room is also beautiful and is often reserved for weddings and other formal events. We thus would not recommend showing up in shorts and tshirt!

Second Beach Pool

Second Beach Pool is great for everyone. It is an outdoor heated pool with a small water slide for children. There are lap pools for those wanting to do some serious swimming. The length of the lap lanes is 160 feet or 50 meters. There are 3 lanes. Slow, medium and fast. It is well supervised by lifeguards on duty. It offers gradual depth to a maximum of 5 feet or 1.5 meters and therefore is a very safe swimming pool. There is a small grassy area attached to the pool area for relaxing and sunbathing.

Cost to enter the pool is extremely good value. Here is the official admission fee to this fantastic swimming pool as well as the Kits Beach Outdoor Saltwater Pool!
